I'm using an HP lap top and it does not have the nifty little number pad thing.
I want to use the scrole lock but I've no idea where on Earth it can be located.
Could someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction?
It's funny how somethin' can be right under one's nose and/or fingers and yet it remains so elusive! LOL
Thanks so much in advance.

I have a Colmpaq laptop, there's a row of 4 buttons in the upper right hand corner (to the right of the f keys) scroll lock is the left most button of the 4 of them. On my computer though (v3000) it does not change the arrow keys into num pad, not sure how to do that as I've never used the num pad extensively, just changed the Jaws keyboard to laptop and then modified the keyboard manager settings to suit my short cut needs.
cheers

on some laptops, there might be a function key in the bottom left corner near the windows key. Usually, it's between the control and the windows key. You may have to press and hold it while pressing one of those keys at the top right. You can always turn on keyboard learn mode so you don't pass keys through to the computer. This way you can fool around.

I got an external number pad for my Dell. Made things a lot easier and it wasn't that expensive.

Thanks so much Frequency!
It was infact the numb lock with the function key you mentioned.
Now to figure out how to utilize the new messenger commands in Jaws 8 without some how putting the computer in hybernate mode! LOL
